DLC/PVD Coatings

We now offer black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) and Gold or Rosegold/Bronze PVD service for your firearm slide or barrel.

PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a coating technology used to enhance the surface properties of firearm components. PVD coatings are applied to various parts of firearms to improve their performance, durability, and resistance to wear and corrosion.

DLC stands for “Diamond-Like Carbon,” and it is a different type of coating used in the PVD process. With DLC, carbon-based materials are vaporized in a vacuum chamber and then deposited onto the surface of the firearm components. The result is a thin but exceptionally hard and smooth layer that offers several benefits for firearms. DLC is the most durable but the other options are a great choice as well.

These type of coatings provide several benefits such as: Enhanced Hardness, Reduced Friction, Corrosion Resistance, Aesthetics.

There is a 1-3 week lead time increase with DLC/PVD coating . IF YOU ARE NOT SENDING IN YOUR SLIDE FOR MACHINING WORK, IT MUST COME COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLED OR ELSE WE CHARGE AN EXTRA FEE.
